Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to customer specifications.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing customer transactions efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
Monitor inventory levels of deli products and assist in restocking as necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Perform regular cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards in the deli section.

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy setting.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Experience with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions.
