Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented Carpentry Team Member to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial construction, with the ability to perform a variety of carpentry and renovation tasks while working collaboratively with crew members and project leaders. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to safely operate tools and equipment in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties

Assist with daily construction and renovation activities while following project plans and safety procedures.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications as required.
Install and construct framing, siding, roofing, flooring, cabinetry, trim, and other building components.
Perform demolition, site preparation, and cleanup activities.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, machinery, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with drywall installation, finishing, flooring installation, and general carpentry tasks.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project requirements.
Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule and to company quality standards.
Report any safety concerns, material shortages, or project issues to supervisors promptly.
Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes.

Requirements

Previous experience in residential or commercial construction, carpentry, or a related trade is preferred.
Knowledge of framing, drywall, siding, roofing, flooring, trim work, and general construction practices.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment.
Basic understanding of blueprint reading and construction drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, and work in various weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are considered an asset.
Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
Relevant trade certifications, working-at-heights training, or other construction-related certifications are considered assets but are not mandatory.
