Part-Time to Full-Time Pizza Team Member
Location: Roberts Street Pizza, Ladysmith
4–5 days a week to start
Approximately 28 hours per week to start
Weekend and closing availability required
We’re looking to add another Pizza Team Member to our crew at Roberts Street Pizza.
This position will start at around 28 hours a week over 4–5 days, with most shifts starting around 3:00–4:00 PM. For the right person, there will be an opportunity to move into full-time hours, most likely after probation.
We’d preferably like to find someone with a bit of previous cooking, restaurant, or pizza experience, but we’re also willing to train someone who is reliable, pays attention to detail, and wants to learn.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable helping with all areas of the restaurant, including:
- Pizza assembly
- Running the oven
- Taking customer orders in person and over the phone
- Customer service
- Using the POS and handling payments
- Dishes and cleaning
- Keeping the pizza line clean, stocked, and organized
- Closing shifts
- Following recipes and proper procedures
- Using scales and proper weights for ingredients
- Making sure pizzas are assembled and cooked properly
- Reading order tickets carefully and paying attention to modifications
- Helping wherever needed during busy shifts
Attention to detail is really important to us. We want someone who understands that consistency matters, whether that means using the proper amount of toppings, keeping their work area clean, reading the bill properly, or making sure the pizza going out is made the way it should be.
We’d also love to find someone who, in time, may be interested in learning more about the business and potentially working toward a leadership role. This is not a leadership position to start, but there could be opportunities down the road for the right person once they are fully trained and comfortable with the operation.
That could eventually include learning things like supplier orders, inventory, training newer staff, and other day-to-day responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, or pizza experience is preferred
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and closing shifts
- Able to work 4–5 days a week
- Comfortable working in all areas of the restaurant
- Able to follow recipes and procedures
- Able to stay organized during busy periods
- Friendly and comfortable dealing with customers
- Willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time
- Someone who may be interested in growing into a leadership role in the future
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
