Full job description

Melo LLP is seeking an experienced and accomplished Manager to join our public accounting team in Kingsville, Ontario. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, in-depth technical accounting expertise, and a demonstrated ability to build and manage lasting client relationships while delivering exceptional service in a public accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and oversee a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.

· Manage client engagements from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and review of audit, tax, and advisory services.

· Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to address their financial needs and objectives.

· Stay up on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide value-added insights to clients.

· Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and enhancing organizational effectiveness.

· Drive operational excellence and process improvements within the firm to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall productivity.

· Participate in business development activities, including networking events, client presentations, and proposal preparation, to expand the firm's client base and revenue opportunities.

· Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning within the team, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing among staff members.

Qualifications:

· CPA designation required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit, tax, and advisory services.

· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.

· Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

· Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.

· Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver results under pressure.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Caseware, Taxprep, and QuickBooks preferred.

· This position is a newly vacant role.
