Full job description

We need a hard-working, motivated and dependable Shop Labourer like you to work for some of our local top employers in Leduc, Alberta! We are looking for qualified individuals to start ASAP!

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 hourly

Shift Times: Mon-Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Performing general shop housekeeping and upkeep including washing equipment that comes back from field and keeping shop organized, swept and hazard free.
Performing general maintenance of shop tools and equipment.
Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck.
Performing general service work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools.
Assisting with special projects and covering for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated.
Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Grade 12 OR GED
Valid driver’s license class 5
Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time.
Reliable – strict adherence to Company attendance standards.
Basic computer skills, math skills, and be good with numbers.
Must have own basic hand tools
General knowledge of tools with mechanical aptitude
Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment screening including a drug & alcohol test, fit for duty test, proof of a valid driver’s license and delivery of a satisfactory and current Driver’s Abstract.
