About Equitus Partners LLP

Equitus Partners LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Bookkeeper to join our team in Leduc.

As a firm dedicated to providing flexible, personalized solutions for our clients, we are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, helping clients, and supporting a collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for an individual looking to build their bookkeeping and accounting experience within a professional accounting firm environment. This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with day-to-day client support, including assisting clients by phone, email, and in person.

Key Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping services for multiple clients across various industries
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Prepare and file GST returns
Process payroll and prepare payroll remittances
Prepare and file annual T4 slips and summaries
Assist with WCB reporting and filings
Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping procedures
Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping records, payroll information, and outstanding items
Provide professional assistance to clients by phone, email, and in-person visits
Support walk-in clients and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
Assist accountants and client managers with bookkeeping-related requests
Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with firm procedures
Work closely with Senior Accountants, receiving ongoing support and mentorship

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field
1–3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or professional services environment
Basic knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and WCB requirements
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, or Xero is considered an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems is considered an asset
