Billing Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Radiology Associates is seeking an individual who is available to work in a HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL environment in the Billing Department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills - both written and verbal and the ability to learn quickly. Duties would include learning Alberta Health Care general rules; Alberta Health Care fees and procedures, Preparation of Alberta Health Care claims for submissions, WCB claim submissions, third party and other invoicing, accounts receivable, Medinformatics RIS maintenance, Agfa PACS maintenance and support for all departments, locations, and clinics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Ideal Experience

Alberta Health Care Billings would be an asset
Experience with existing radiology information system, ie Medinformatics RIS would be an asset
Medical Terminology would be an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated ability to work in a professional and confidential environment;
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others;
Performs in accordance with the standards of a professional practice as well as within a patient-centered care model;
Provides assistance to supervisor when required in accordance with departmental policy and procedures;
Entering relevant data into the radiology information system;
Comprehensive knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures;
Broad knowledge and practice of safe work procedures;
Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies;
Demonstrated ability to deal with and/or guide others in resolution of conflict issues;
Demonstrated ability to plan and establish workload priorities in collaboration with the Billing Manager and/or Admin Staff;
Physical ability to perform the duties of this position including coverage of laundry, shipping and receiving when needed and any other duties that may be asked of you.
