About Chinook Cardiology

Chinook Cardiology is an established outpatient cardiology clinic providing clinical cardiology services and on-site cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Our team works within a collaborative, high-functioning environment focused on delivering timely, high-quality, patient-centred cardiac care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in a busy outpatient setting with a strong emphasis on patient care, collaborative teamwork, and efficient, consistent workflow.

This is a full-time position within an established and well-supported clinical team.

Exams performed include:

Adult echocardiography
Adult congenital
Pediatric studies

Training opportunities are available to support ongoing professional development.

Compensation

$50.00 – $57.00 per hour (estimated equivalent range)

We offer a performance-based compensation model within a high-volume outpatient practice, providing competitive earning potential aligned with current Alberta market rates.

Opportunities for increased earnings are available through:

Higher-volume days
Additional weekend work opportunities

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Be eligible to work in Canada
Hold Sonography Canada credentials
Hold registration with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
Hold current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers
Maintain professional liability insurance

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies in an outpatient setting
Provide a professional and compassionate patient experience
Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiac pathology and imaging principles
Maintain efficiency and consistency in image acquisition
Perform preliminary measurements and contribute to structured reporting, supporting clinical interpretation and continuity of patient care
Collaborate with cardiologists and clinic staff
Participate in ongoing quality assurance initiatives
