À propos du poste

Axess Law est à la recherche d'un(e) assistant(e) comptable méticuleux(se) et expérimenté(e) pour se joindre à son équipe notariale au Québec. Cette personne sera responsable de la gestion des activités comptables quotidiennes de l'étude, du maintien de dossiers financiers exacts et de la conformité aux normes de l'industrie ainsi qu'aux règlements de la Chambre des notaires du Québec.

Le ou la titulaire du poste contribuera au bon fonctionnement de notre étude notariale en pleine croissance en assurant la comptabilité en fidéicommis, les conciliations bancaires, les remises gouvernementales et l’administration financière des transactions immobilières. Ce poste est idéal pour une personne rigoureuse qui aime travailler dans un environnement juridique structuré, dynamique et collaboratif, en étroite collaboration avec les notaires et l’équipe des opérations.

Principales responsabilités

Tenir à jour des dossiers financiers précis, y compris les comptes fournisseurs et les comptes clients.
Procéder à la conciliation des relevés bancaires et des comptes en fidéicommis conformément aux règlements de la Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Traiter les factures, les paiements et les autres opérations comptables.
Préparer et soumettre les déclarations de TPS/TVQ ainsi que toute autre remise gouvernementale requise.
Collaborer avec l'équipe notariale afin d'assurer un suivi financier rigoureux et la conformité réglementaire des transactions immobilières.
Effectuer la conciliation des comptes clients et des comptes en fidéicommis tout en veillant au respect de l'ensemble des exigences réglementaires.
Participer aux processus de clôture mensuelle et annuelle et collaborer avec les comptables externes et la direction, au besoin.
Maintenir des dossiers financiers et une documentation organisés conformément aux normes de l'industrie.

Qualifications et expérience

Minimum d'une (1) année d'expérience en comptabilité ou en tenue de livres, idéalement dans un environnement juridique ou notarial.
Excellente connaissance des principes comptables québécois, des déclarations de TPS/TVQ et de la comptabilité en fidéicommis.
Une expérience en gestion des comptes en fidéicommis notariaux constitue un atout important.
Une bonne connaissance des règlements de la Chambre des notaires du Québec constitue un atout important.
La maîtrise de logiciels comptables tels que Para-Maître, ProCardex et Pro-Notaire est considérée comme un atout.
Détenir un permis de conduire valide et avoir accès à un véhicule pour effectuer des dépôts et des déplacements occasionnels vers des institutions financières à proximité.
Excellente maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit.

Junior Accounting Clerk – Notary FirmLocation

About the Role

Axess Law is looking for a meticulous and experienced Junior Accounting Clerk to join our Quebec Notary team. This role is responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and the regulations of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

The successful candidate will support our growing notarial practice through trust accounting, bank reconciliations, government remittances, and financial administration related to real estate transactions. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced legal environment and collaborating closely with notaries and the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements and notarial trust accounts in accordance with the regulations of the Chambre des notaires du Québec
Process invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions
Prepare and submit GST/QST remittances and other required government filings
Collaborate with the notarial team to ensure accurate financial tracking and regulatory compliance for real estate transactions
Monitor and reconcile client accounts and notarial trust accounts while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes and collaborate with external accountants and management as required
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with industry standards

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum one (1) year of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a legal or notarial environment
Strong understanding of Quebec accounting principles, GST/QST filings, and notarial trust accounting
Experience working with notarial trust accounts is considered a strong asset
Familiarity with the regulations of the Chambre des notaires du Québec is a strong asset
Experience using accounting software such as Para-Maître, ProCardex, and Pro-Notaire is preferred
Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for making deposits and occasional visits to nearby financial institutions
