The Opportunity

Maple Leaf Marinas (“MLM”) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada. MLM’s fast growing portfolio comprises 14 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay and Muskoka Regions.

We are seeking a Retail Store Associate to join our team at Gordon Bay Marine.

This is a Seasonal full-time position with competitive pay.

Position Overview:

As a Retail Store Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and customer-focused experience at our fueling station. You will play a crucial role in providing fueling services, assisting boaters with their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized fuel dock area.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service
Delivering sales, outstanding customer experience, and operational expectations
Operating POS sales system for accurate transactions.
Maintaining personal and productivity goals
Connects with every customer by asking open-ended questions to assess needs
Ability to learn and share expertise of products and trends to fit customer’s needs
Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge.
Aids in stocking store to ensure product availability for customers.
Contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment
Assist customers in boat rental accommodations, scheduling/writing rental agreements, and preparing rental equipment.

Qualifications:

0-3 year of retail experience
Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
Motivated to achieve great results because of one's enthusiasm from interacting with customers and recreational products
Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
