$41.59 to $60.02 per hour ($75,693.80 to $109,236.40 per annum)

MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- University degree or college diploma in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required. Examples include: Computer Science Degree, Computer Engineering Degree, Business Analyst Diploma, Business Information Technology Diploma.
- Azure Data Engineer Associate (Exam DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure) or Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate (Exam DP-700) is required.
- Professional designation such as CBAP or equivalent is preferred.
- Data-focused certifications such as CDMP (DAMA), CBIP (TDWI), or IIBA CBDA would be an asset.ITIL certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 6 years of experience writing ETL applications, utilities, process enhancements is required.
- Minimum 6 years of SQL development is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Pipelines or other Microsoft ETL (SSIS) is required.
- Experience developing standard and supportable pipelines is required, with experience in the creation and maintenance of Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Minimum 2 years experience defining and designing ETL processes is required.
- Minimum 2 years experience using T-SQL is required.
- Minimum 2 years experience using PySpark and / or Python is required.
- Minimum 3 years experience with a focus on data quality and data cleansing is required.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse, Azure DataLake would be an asset.
- Experience using and developing data pipelines for a Data Warehouse would be an asset.
- Experience using a Data Lake or lakehouses would be an asset.
- Experience using Oracle PL/SQL would be an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Fabric notebooks would be an asset.
- Familiarity with Power BI would be an asset.
- Familiarity with Purview would be an asset.
- Experience with Higher-Education data subject areas would be an asset.
- Experience with Banner, Banner Student, Financial aids and Awards, and Admissions data would be an asset.
- Experience with Higher Education software such as Slate and D2L would be an asset.
- Experience in analyzing and documenting complex business processes is required.
- Experience in other IT roles or functions such as data analysis, quality assurance/testing, data modeling, and data/enterprise architecture is required.
- Experience working on a project using Agile or iterative methods is required.
- Analysis Experience is required, such as:
- Requirements Elicitation.
- Creating requirements and system specifications deliverables.
- Familiarity IT frameworks including ITIL, TOGAF, PRINCE2 an asset.
- Data and Analytics Experience is required, such as:
- Data Modeling conceptual, logical, and physical normalized and analytical models

ETL Design, Development, and Operational Support
- Primarily responsible for design and development of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric components, including pipelines, notebooks, lakehouses, activities, datasets, linked services, and data flows
- Responsible for operational management and support of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric components
- Responsible for Azure Dev Ops administration
- Work with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality
- Work with stakeholders to understand and document the use and flow of data
- Interrogate database systems using SQL to understand data components, flow and use
- Map data and data sources to normalized and analytical data models
- Coordinate with data owners to ensure data accessibility and quality
- Identify and aggregate data from internal and external sources
- Identify new opportunities to leverage data and to integrate data or applications to enhance business value
- Guide solution design to meet data and integration requirements
- Designs Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric components using best practice
- Provision, configure and optimization of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric components
- Define and document the Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric pipelines and notebooks
- Mentor other resources regarding Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
- Contribute to the review of Solution Architecture and Architecture Deliverables and recommend design options.
- Assist in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric issue investigation and resolution.
- Provide input into Azure Monitoring and reporting.
- Provide expertise and assist in the design of the Data Warehouse Data model.
Business Analysis
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit requirements, use cases, business rules, goals, and needs. Manage requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation processes to capture business and end user needs
- Produce documentation deliverables – including requirements and specifications – in compliance with IST Methodology standards
- Apply knowledge and expertise to recommend options to stakeholders and decision makers
- Communicate effectively with business and technical audiences
- Communicate solution trade-offs to business partners to frame and influence project decisions
- Engage delivery teams to communicate solution vision and priorities
- Promote architectural standards and consistency
- Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends to guide business partners on emerging opportunities
