Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and team management skills, along with excellent communication abilities. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing store functions, and maintaining operational efficiency. Bilingual proficiency and prior retail management experience are highly valued to support diverse customer interactions and team coordination.

Duties

Lead and supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a productive team environment
Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and store presentation to maximize sales potential
Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Conduct sales transactions accurately using POS systems and oversee cashiering activities
Manage inventory purchasing, stock levels, and product displays in collaboration with the purchasing team
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
Oversee payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy
Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to attract customers
Conduct interviews for new hires, participate in recruiting efforts, and assist with onboarding processes
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times

Experience

Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail or similar customer-focused environments
Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store management practices
Demonstrated skills in negotiation, marketing, budgeting, and sales management
Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual preferred) with the ability to train staff effectively
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities
Leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, problem-solving, and motivating teams
Prior experience in interviewing candidates and participating in recruiting efforts is a plus
