Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including windows, doors, and storefronts. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality workmanship. The Glazier will work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time and to specifications.

Duties

Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment.
Install glass in windows, doors, and other structures securely and efficiently.
Repair or replace broken glass in existing installations while ensuring safety standards are met.
Apply sealants and adhesives as necessary to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing.
Collaborate with contractors, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and timelines.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; report any malfunctions or safety issues.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site to ensure a safe work environment.

Experience

Previous experience as a Glazier or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training may be provided.
Familiarity with glass cutting tools, installation techniques, and safety practices is advantageous.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
