Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programming Manager to lead our CNC Programming Department. The ideal candidate will oversee the development and optimization of CNC programs, ensuring efficient production processes and high-quality output. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in CAD/CAM software, and leadership skills to manage a team of programmers and technicians. The CNC Programming Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimization of CNC programs for various manufacturing equipment using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Catia)
Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machinery, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics for accurate machining.
Manage the integration of robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial equipment into manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Provide technical guidance on welding, assembly, and mechanical engineering aspects related to CNC machining.
Train and supervise CNC programmers and machine operators on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
Maintain documentation for CNC programs, schematics, and technical specifications; ensure all programs are up-to-date.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to CNC programming, robotics, or mechanical systems promptly to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

Proven experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or a related field with a strong understanding of industrial equipment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Catia)
Hands-on experience with robotics integration, PLC programming, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a background in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and schematics related to industrial equipment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments and documenting technical processes.
