Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional front desk support and ensuring smooth administrative operations within a busy medical or dental office. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience in a healthcare setting to facilitate efficient patient flow and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages effectively
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and copayments
Prepare and organize patient charts, forms, and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
Coordinate appointment scheduling and follow-up reminders to optimize office workflow
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment
Support the clinical team with basic administrative duties related to patient care documentation

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience managing multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment
Office experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Previous experience working with front desk operations or administrative tasks in a medical or dental office is preferred

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
