Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Siding Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of siding materials on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Experience with blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and other construction-related skills is highly valued.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine siding installation requirements.
Measure, cut, and shape siding materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise fit and finish.
Install various siding materials including vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal siding on building exteriors.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayment or insulation materials.
Use caulking to seal joints and ensure weatherproofing of installed siding.
Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling or site preparation.
Assist with related tasks such as carpentry, framing, or restoration work when required.
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols during installation activities.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress or issues encountered during installation.

Experience

Prior experience in siding installation or general construction is preferred.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics is beneficial.
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, and measuring tapes.
Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and nail guns.
Knowledge of related trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, or roofing is a plus.
Ability to interpret construction estimating documents and schematics for accurate project execution.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for material handling is advantageous.
Strong physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working at heights or on scaffolding.
