Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a part-time Junior Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow their experience in bookkeeping and accounting processes. Experience with accounting software such as Simply Accounting/Sage is considered an asset.

Duties

Assist with account analysis and reconciliations
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
Assist with payroll processing
Perform bookkeeping tasks using Simply Accounting/Sage
Help with general administrative and accounting duties as needed
Answer and direct incoming business phone calls

Experience

1+ years of bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred
Junior candidates with relevant education or training are encouraged to apply

Required Skills

Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good clerical and communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow in a bookkeeping role

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Simply Accounting/Sage
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role
