Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in a vibrant learning environment. This paid position offers the opportunity to support diverse learners, and foster a love for science through innovative teaching methods. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a passion for nurturing young minds.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards for high school students
Provide tutoring support to students struggling with scientific concepts, in Chemistry, Physics and Biology (in one or all these subjects)
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation
Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles

Requirements

Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and build positive relationships with students.
A genuine passion for teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals.
Experience working with high school students is considered a strong asset.
An Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate, or being in the process of obtaining one, is preferred.
We also welcome applications from university students currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Business with strong subject knowledge and a passion for education.

This is a part-time position starting with two to four shifts per week. Flexible shifts are available. Our instructional hours are 4pm- 8pm on weekdays, and 10am-1pm on Saturdays.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
