InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.

Our Client, a leading manufacturing/distribution company is looking for a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join their team. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks within our warehouse including loading trucks, unloading trucks, case picking product, and staging finished product as it is released from our packing area.

Responsibilities:

Operate Raymond Reach/ Counterbalance Forklift with various attachments (pull-pack, slip sheet, etc.) in a bustling warehouse
Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and all shipping instructions are followed.
Move finished product from the production line and store it in the correct location in the warehouse
Case pick product following all guidelines using an RF scanner, hand wrap and label products, and stage in the appropriate location
Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation and cleaning
Regularly lift items up to 50 pounds
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of equivalent training/experience,
Valid Forklift License (Raymond Reach/ Counterbalance)
strong organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills;
manufacturing experience is an asset
Ability to interpret/log packing slips and purchase orders; and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good manual dexterity required.
Must be able to read and follow assembly documentation and operating schedules.
Comfortable with frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Experience with computer software is required
Exposure to SAP / ERP is preferred
Experience with inventory management tools such as min / max would also be an asset
