Full job description

Job Summary
Rossdown is looking for a Junior Mechanic to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with vehicles, farm equipment, and machinery and is looking to build a career in maintenance and mechanics.

The successful candidate will assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on company vehicles and equipment while learning from experienced team members.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance and minor repairs on trucks, tractors, trailers, skid steers, and farm equipment.
Perform oil changes, greasing, fluid checks, and basic equipment servicing.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report issues.
Help transport vehicles and equipment for servicing when required.
Maintain service records and maintenance logs.
Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Support the maintenance team with daily tasks and projects.

Qualifications

Mechanically inclined and interested in learning equipment maintenance and repair.
Previous experience working with vehicles, farm equipment, or machinery is an asset.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required.
Class 1 Licence is considered an asset..
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform physical work including bending, lifting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
