Full job description

Aurora Abbotsford is a startup cafe/roastery in the heart of Historic Downtown Abbotsford. Our main goal is to have fun and also to serve people with healthy and delicious foods and drinks. We put a lot of effort in the opening this shop and we want to continue putting the same effort to turn it into something special, unique and innovative.

Now, we are looking for responsible, passionate about coffee and just fun people to join our small (again, hopefully just for now) team. Clumsy people please don’t apply, as this position is already taken.

If you want to learn, or learn more about specialty coffee, roasting and how to start enjoing baking early in the morning, then you’ve found the right place.

Here is what we need from you:

Qualifications:

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Will train

Desirable qualifications:

Some (good) barista experience, please
Punctual and reliable team-player
Passion for working with people
Or at least show up on the shift in a decent mood

Key responsibilities:

· Serve delicious coffee, pastries and food

· Focus on quality and high preparation standards

· Maintain the equipment, clean working area and appliances

· Open/Close the store

· Sweep, mop, wash and polish floor

· Provide exceptional customer experience

· Describe our menu items to customers, suggest products that might appeal to them, provide information about coffees and preparation methods

· Process cash register payments by cash, debit or credit card and gift card

· Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
