Position Description Summary:
Under the direction of Operations Manager, Operations Coordinators will be responsible for all operational functions that occur on the floor to the trailers or vice versa, including labour assignment/balancing workloads, direction and instruction.
Must be a self-starter with an ownership mindset, strong safety culture, a focus on process efficiency, continuous improvement and customer service. Under the guidance of the Operations Managers, this role is accountable to arrange daily operations pertaining to Milton Campus. This position is responsible for the management of, tracking, auditing and reporting of all tasks to the Operations Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage trailers/drivers with supervisors
- Ensure optimal door usage and assign dock doors
- Utilize sequencing report to prioritize shipments
- Manage work queue
- Manage Critical Inbound list co-ordinate trailers to be brought over from Pride yard
- Investigate short shipment items – notate shipping documents
- Prepare and verify inbound/outbound documents prior to load closure
- Work with yard supervisor on trailer verification/Prioritize shunt moves
- Daily appointment file management
- Productivity updates
- Communicate with client when required
- Respond to all email requests- POD requests, shipment verification times, appointment requests
- Deal with operators at the warehouse window
- Some filing and light duties
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One year Warehouse Operations Coordinator experience
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Leadership Experience
- Proven ability to prioritize work assignments
- Experience assigning and directing staff
- Shift Available - Mon to Thur 15:00 to 01:30
Pay: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
