ICS Facility Services is seeking an Operations Support Technician to provide hands-on support across field operations, office, warehouse, equipment, and vehicle fleet requirements.
This role helps ensure site teams have the tools, vehicles, equipment, access items, and practical support required to operate effectively across multiple client locations. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operational needs, assist with vehicle and equipment readiness, coordinate repairs and service appointments, complete basic office and warehouse maintenance tasks, and respond to field support requests as directed.
This is a practical, hands-on role suited for someone who is reliable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable moving between the office, warehouse, client sites, vendors, mechanics, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Field Operations Support
- Visit client sites to assist with operational needs, site readiness, and issue resolution.
- Support area managers, supervisors, and site teams with practical field requirements.
- Assist with new site start-ups, transitions, mobilizations, and demobilizations.
- Coordinate pickup, delivery, transfer, and setup of equipment, supplies, uniforms, tools, and site materials.
- Assist with keys, fobs, access cards, parking passes, site binders, and other access-related items.
- Respond to time-sensitive operational requests as assigned.
- Provide clear updates to operations leadership on completed tasks, open issues, and follow-up items.
- Maintain a professional presence when interacting with clients, site staff, vendors, and service providers.
2. Vehicle Fleet Support
- Support the coordination, cleanliness, readiness, and upkeep of company vehicles.
- Assist with vehicle assignments, transfers, inspections, pickups, and drop-offs.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, oil changes, tire changes, repairs, detailing, and service appointments.
- Track and report vehicle damage, maintenance needs, mileage concerns, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Assist with registration documents, insurance slips, fuel cards, parking passes, decals, and required vehicle
- documentation.
- Ensure vehicles are stocked with required operational items, safety supplies, and company materials.
- Liaise with dealerships, mechanics, rental companies, and service providers as needed.
- Help monitor vehicle cleanliness, organization, and general condition.
3. Equipment Support
- Assist with cleaning equipment delivery, pickup, setup, removal, and reassignment between sites.
- Coordinate repairs and service for equipment such as auto scrubbers, vacuums, batteries, chargers, burnishers,
- carpet extractors, and related tools.
- Identify damaged, missing, unsafe, or underperforming equipment and escalate as required.
- Support preventative maintenance tracking for key equipment.
- Help maintain records of equipment assignments, service status, and movement between locations.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting where appropriate.
4. Office, Warehouse & Handyman Support
- Provide basic handyman support at the ICS office and warehouse.
- Assist with minor repairs, furniture assembly, shelving, mounting, patching, painting touch-ups, and general
- maintenance.
- Support office moves, workstation setups, meeting room setup, and storage organization.
- Help keep the office, warehouse, and storage areas clean, safe, organized, and functional.
- Receive, organize, and distribute deliveries, supplies, uniforms, tools, and equipment.
- Identify office or warehouse maintenance issues and coordinate with external trades or vendors when required.
- Support health and safety readiness by keeping walkways, storage areas, and workspaces clear and organized.
5. Inventory, Supplies & Asset Support
- Help organize and maintain inventory of equipment, tools, uniforms, supplies, spare parts, and operational materials.
- Assist with asset tagging, tracking, storage, and movement between sites.
- Prepare equipment, supplies, and materials for site launches, transitions, or special projects.
- Report low inventory, missing items, damaged assets, or items requiring replacement.
- Support warehouse discipline by ensuring items are returned, labelled, and stored properly.
- Maintain basic records of inventory movement and site assignments.
6. Basic Technology & Device Support
- Support company-issued phones, tablets, laptops, SIM cards, and basic user setup.
- Assist field staff with basic login, connectivity, email, and app access issues.
- Support device handoffs, returns, transfers, and tracking.
- Coordinate with internal IT or external vendors when issues require escalation.
- Assist with basic onboarding and offboarding needs involving devices, access items, or company equipment.
7. Robotics Support — Secondary
- Provide basic support for robotic cleaning equipment when required.
- Assist with pickup, delivery, charging, setup, and coordination of robot service needs.
- Report robot issues to operations leadership or vendors for follow-up.
- Support vendor coordination where robotic equipment requires repair or technical attention.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear records of assigned tasks, equipment movement, vehicle matters, repairs, device assignments, and site
- support activities.
- Provide written updates after site visits or completed tasks.
- Track open issues and follow through until resolved.
- Support the creation of simple checklists, guides, or tracking logs when needed.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and easy for operations to reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in facilities, janitorial operations, field service, fleet support, building maintenance, warehouse support, or general operations preferred.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and handyman skills.
- Comfortable using mobile phones, tablets, email, and basic apps.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence required.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment as needed.
- Professional, calm, and service-focused approach
Role Tools & Support
- Fleet vehicle assigned for emergency and operational response requirements.
- Company cell phone provided.
- Company laptop provided.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel between the office, warehouse, client sites, vendors, mechanics, and service providers.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and move equipment as required.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs when needed.
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools and handle operational equipment.
