Full job description

Job Title: Accounting Clerk – Finance & Admin Support

Do you have 2–4 years of accounting or finance support experience?
Are you comfortable managing both accounting tasks and office administration in a fast-paced environment?

About the Role
We’re hiring an Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team and help keep financial and administrative operations running smoothly. This role is hands-on, supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processes, and general office tasks. You’ll work directly with the Plant Controller and management team, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports, ensuring pricing and quantities are accurate.
Enter invoices into the system, maintain vendor files, and resolve discrepancies.
Organize weekly payment runs and support audit documentation.

Accounts Receivable

Follow up on past-due payments and resolve discrepancies with customers.
Post cash receipts, process authorized deductions, and maintain customer records.

Accounting & Financial Support

Maintain time and attendance records and reconcile employee expenses.
Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and ad-hoc analysis.
Prepare correspondence and presentations for management as needed.

Administrative Support

Coordinate meetings, company events, and office operations.
Manage mail, office supplies, and reception duties.
Support team members with errands and general office organization.

Skills & Qualifications

Diploma in Accounting or 1–3 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with Great Plains is an asset.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Positive, proactive, and safety-first attitude.
