Full job description

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in an adult residential facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, especially those with disabilities, dementia, or requiring senior care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized support and caregiving.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication administration and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Perform light cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
Support patients with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and heavy lifting when required
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
Assist with transportation to appointments or outings as needed
Follow all safety protocols, including infection control procedures and emergency response plans

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
Experience with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and proper facility cleaning is beneficial
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support is essential
Certification in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not required; experience is necessary. Formal Training will be required
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience are vital for success in this role

Pay: From $19.67 per hour
