JOB – DOZER OPERATOR (Finish Grade)

· Full Time, Seasonal

· Work Location: On The Road

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Performs either rough grade or finish grade, spreading and mixing materials on the roadway.

· Operate Dozer for water & sewer installations, culverts, ditching, grubbing, conducting finish grade in road operations. Operate a Caterpillar D4 - D8 Dozer and/or John Deere 450-650 or equivalent and larger.

· Operate Dozer with various types of materials i.e.: gravel, pit run, clay etc.

· Safe operation & condition of the equipment.

· Responsible for fueling, servicing and inspections (daily checklist).

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of (5) years’ experience required.

· Must be able to conduct finish grade, grades with stakes.

· Experience with GPS would be an asset.

· Must be able to understand grades and have knowledge of plans, drawings and overall road construction.

· Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with the supervisor and fellow employees.

· Must possess a valid driver's license

· Must be willing to travel

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Effectue le nivellement général ou de finition, l'épandage et le mélange des matériaux sur la chaussée.

· Opération du bulldozer pour les installations d'eau et d'égouts, les ponceaux, le creusement de fossés, l'essouchement et le nivellement final des travaux routiers. Opérer un bulldozer Caterpillar D4 à D8 et/ou d'un John Deere 450 à 650 ou équivalent et plus.

· Conduite d'un bulldozer avec différents types de matériaux, par exemple : gravier, tout-venant, argile, etc.

· Utilisation et état sécuritaires de l'équipement.

· Responsable du ravitaillement en carburant, de l'entretien et des inspections (liste de contrôle quotidienne).

· Exécution d'autres tâches selon les besoins.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience requis.

· Doit être capable d'effectuer des nivellements de finition et des nivellements avec piquets.

· Une expérience avec le GPS serait un atout.

· Doit être capable de comprendre les nivellements et avoir une connaissance des plans, des dessins et de la construction routière en général.

· Doit être capable de comprendre les instructions de travail et de communiquer efficacement avec le superviseur et les collègues.

· Doit posséder un permis de conduire valide

· Doit être disposé à voyager.
