Full job description

Millcroft Inn & Spa is currently seeking a Receiver to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.

Job Title: Receiver
Location: 55 John St, Alton, ON L7K 0C4
Property: Millcroft Inn & Spa

This posting is for an existing within Lais Hotel Properties Limited.

Position Summary: To ensure that goods that are received match the purchase order both in quantity and quality. Physically move the goods to the correct locations for distribution to various departments within the Millcroft Inn & Spa.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

Works closely with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Kitchen and other operations departments to receive, inspect put away and rotate products and complete paperwork daily using computerized system
Inspects the quality of the shipment. If it is not to specifications arranges to have the shipment inspected by the Manager or Supervisor
Maintains a back-order file and follows up on supplies not yet received
Prints purchase orders for daily arrivals
Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
All other duties as assigned

Secondary Responsibilities:

Performs general maintenance of public, Guest and operational areas
Sweep all entrances, sidewalks and walkways
Collect litter from grounds and walkways
Clean exterior lighting for cobwebs, dirt and bugs in fixtures
Responsible for the general outdoor maintenance
Empty all garbage bins on an on-going regular basis
All other duties as required

Professional Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
Good computer skills
Health and safety training required

Personal Attributes:

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Must be flexible and adaptable
Patience for counting and unloading
Aptitude for figures
Dependable and self-confident with strong prioritizing skills
Ethical and honest

Physical Requirements:

Heavy lifting of over 90 lbs. on a regular basis
Walking and bending throughout the shift
Constant temperature changes due to variation from indoor to outdoor temperatures
