49th Parallel est une entreprise de café originaire du Nord-Ouest Pacifique. Nous sélectionnons, torréfions, préparons et servons des cafés avec soin pour l'appréciation de nos clients. Nos cafés sont une vitrine de nos produits et de notre service de qualité.

Notre succursale rue McGill est à la recherche d’un·e barista à temps plein, expérimenté·e et travaillant·e.

Salaire moyen estimé : 22$/heure (salaire horaire + tips). Les pourboires sont partagés.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

Offrir un service exemplaire à tous les clients du café et assurer en tout temps une excellente qualité des produits. Le rôle comprend, sans s’y limiter :

Accueillir les clients
Prendre les commandes, faire des recommandations et traiter les transactions
Préparer et servir des boissons spécialisées, incluant les boissons à base d’espresso, en suivant les hauts standards de 49th Parallel
Ajuster et goûter les différents types de cafés afin d’assurer la qualité des produits
Effectuer des tâches générales d’entretien et de nettoyage
Organiser les stocks
Avoir une connaissance générale des produits, notamment des ingrédients et des allergènes potentiels

QUALIFICATIONS ET COMPÉTENCES

Minimum 1 an d’expérience dans un environnement de service / hospitalité
Minimum 1 an d’expérience dans un poste axé sur le café, incluant la préparation de boissons spécialisées à base d’espresso
Parle francais et anglais couramment
Excellentes aptitudes en service à la clientèle
Connaissance des profils aromatiques du café et capacité de démontrer un bon palais
Bonne connaissance des systèmes de point de vente (POS)
Très grande passion pour le café

English Job Post:

49th Parallel is a coffee company that calls the Pacific Northwest home. We source, roast, brew, and serve coffee we believe in and our customers love. Our cafes are a showcase for our coffee and service.

Our location on McGill Street is looking to add a full-time, highly skilled, experienced and hard-working barista.

Estimated average wage: 22$/hour (salary + tips). Tips are shared.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide exemplary service to all patrons of the cafe and ensure excellent product quality at all times. The role includes, but is not limited to:

Welcoming customers
Taking orders, making product recommendations to customers and processing transactions
Preparing and serving specialty coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages in line with 49th Parallel’s standards
Dialing-in and tasting espresso and coffees to ensure product quality
General cleaning duties
General product knowledge as it relates to recipe ingredients and potential allergens.
Organizing stock

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

1 year of experience in a hospitality / service environment
1 year of experience in a coffee focused position and experience preparing specialty espresso based beverages
Must speak french and english
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of coffee flavour notes and the ability to demonstrate a good palate
Working knowledge of POS systems
VERY passionate about coffee
