Full job description

Patty Xenos Design is a boutique interior design and Master Planning firm established for more than 25 years. We are a dynamic team with international projects in the high-end residential and hotel sector, restaurant, sports center and resorts.

Candidate: Intermediate Interior Designer (±5 years relevant experience)

Dynamic, responsible person, focused on teamwork and showing a lot of autonomy. The selected candidate will have at least ±5 years of professional experience in the field of commercial interior design and hospitality.

Required qualifications

· Good knowledge of furniture, millwork and construction details.

· Experience in producing technical drawings for large projects and / or high-end projects. (Ability to prepare a complete construction set of plans and specifications)

· Excellent skills in AutoCAD (2D) 2022 minimum.

· Good knowledge of Photoshop, Sketch up/Enscape, and PowerPoint.

· Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English.

Tasks and responsibilities

· Follow established procedures and quality standards, obtain required approvals.

· Delegate and supervise an intermediate or junior technician during the production of documents/ respect timelines and deadlines.

· Create and edit technical drawings and construction details on AutoCAD from sketches or verbal instructions.

· Taking measurements and inventories on site/ documentation.

· Supervise construction on construction sites is an asset.

Knowledge and skills

· Knowledge of construction methods, industry standards, finishes and specifications.

· Ability to prioritize, work independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

· Sense of organization (able to work on multiple projects simultaneously).

· Ability to meet deadlines and budgets.

· Attentive and sensitive to details.

· Team spirit, motivated, positive, solution oriented.

Curious and eager to introduce new methods that increase efficiency (an asset).

Excellente maîtrise de AutoCAD (2D) version 2022 minimum.

Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite, en français et en anglais.

Tâches et responsabilités

Suivre les procédures établies et les standards de qualité, et obtenir les approbations requises.
Déléguer et superviser un technicien intermédiaire ou junior lors de la production des documents, tout en respectant les échéanciers et délais.
Créer et modifier des dessins techniques et détails de construction sur AutoCAD, à partir d’esquisses ou d’instructions verbales.
Effectuer des relevés de mesures et inventaires sur chantier, ainsi que la documentation requise.
Superviser les travaux sur les chantiers de construction (un atout).

Connaissances et compétences

Bonne connaissance des méthodes de construction, des standards de l’industrie, des finis et des spécifications.
Capacité à établir les priorités, travailler de façon autonome et accomplir les tâches avec un minimum de supervision.
Excellent sens de l’organisation (capacité à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément).
Capacité à respecter les délais et budgets.
Grande attention et sensibilité aux détails.
Esprit d’équipe, attitude positive, motivation et orientation vers les solutions.
Curiosité et intérêt à introduire de nouvelles méthodes visant à améliorer l’efficacité (un atout).
