Résumé du poste

Nous recherchons un(e) fabricant d'échantillons avec de solides compétences en construction et finition de vêtements dans plusieurs catégories. Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) doit être précis(e), attentif(ve) aux détails et capable de travailler efficacement dans les délais. Les candidats doivent être prêts à réaliser un test de couture sur place dans le cadre du processus de sélection.

Principales tâches et responsabilités

Coudre des prototypes, des échantillons d’essai et des échantillons de pré-production selon les spécifications et dans les délais
Choisir les garnitures, fermetures éclair, fils et autres composants appropriés
Utiliser les bonnes techniques de couture, surtout pour les tissus délicats
Effectuer la finition des vêtements, le repassage et l’ajustement pour un résultat de haute qualité
S’assurer que tous les échantillons reflètent fidèlement l’intention du design
Identifier et signaler toute différence au modéliste
Proposer des améliorations dans la construction pour plus d’efficacité et de rentabilité
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les modélistes et les collègues

Qualifications requises

3 à 5 ans d’expérience en construction de vêtements et réalisation d’échantillons
Compétence en couture de vêtements de sport, robes, tricots, tissus tissés et autres types de vêtements (pantalons, vestes, jupes, robes, etc.)
Bonne connaissance de la finition des vêtements, du repassage et des détails finaux
Expérience pratique avec les machines simples et les machines spécialisées : surjeteuse, point invisible, boutonnière, point couvert, machine à pression, machine à bord étroit
Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe
Bonne gestion du temps et respect des délais
Maintenir un espace de travail propre, organisé et sécuritaire

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sample Maker with strong skills in garment construction and finishing across multiple categories. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Candidates should be prepared to complete a sewing assignment on-site as part of the selection process.

Key Duties and responsibilities

Sew prototypes, fit samples, and pre-production samples according to specifications and details within the timeframe.
Select appropriate trims, zippers, threads, and other components
Apply correct sewing techniques, especially with delicate fabrics
Perform garment finishing, pressing, and trimming for high-quality results
Ensure all samples accurately reflect the design intent
Identify and flag discrepancies to the patternmaker
Recommend construction improvements for better cost-effectiveness methods
Collaborate closely with patternmakers and other colleagues

Qualification required

3–5 years of experience in garment construction and sample making
Proficiency in sewing sportswear, dresses, knits, wovens, and a variety of garments (pants, jackets, skirts, dresses, etc.)
Strong knowledge of garment finishing, pressing, and final detailing
Hands-on experience with single machines and specialized equipment, including: overlock, blind stitch, buttonhole, cover stitch, snap machine, and marrow edge machine
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong time management with the ability to meet deadlines
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
