Plasma/Laser Machine Operator
The Plasma/Laser Machine Operator is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of customer orders in the plant—from pulling product and setting up equipment to operating machines and packaging finished goods. This role supports Jacquet Montreal’s commitment to quality, value, and service through accurate, efficient production and strong teamwork.

Our facility maintains the following machine operating capacities:

● Laser
● CNC Plasma

What will YOU be doing as a Plasma/Laser Machine Operator?

● Ability to interpret job specifications, read blueprints, and execute order pulls with accuracy
● Proficiency in setting up, calibrating, and operating metal cutting equipment (laser, plasma, etc.) with strong troubleshooting skills
● Skilled in material handling and equipment operation (forklift, overhead crane, Raymond Reach/Combi) with safe loading/unloading practices
● Ability to assess cut quality, remove skeleton, and prepare finished components for shipping using proper packaging and securing methods
● Inventory control experience including managing stock profiles, optimizing material flow, and reducing obsolete or excess inventory
● Strong safety mindset with the ability to support cross-functional teams and perform duties across multiple roles as needed

● day shift position: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday)

What YOU bring to the table

● Minimum 1 year of Forklift and overhead crane experience handling heavy materials
●Bilingual in French and English
● Basic mechanical aptitude with experience in routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
● Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
● Proven ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail, quality, and safety
● Comfortable with physical work, including frequent lifting (50+ lbs), bending, and extended periods of standing/walking
● Flexible, quick learner who can multi-task, assist other team members, and work overtime as needed

Salary information: $28.00 + per hour

Opérateur(trice) de machine de découpe au plasma et au laser
L’opérateur de machine est responsable de la gestion complète du cycle de vie des commandes clients à l’usine — de la préparation des matériaux et du réglage des équipements à l’opération des machines et à l’emballage des produits finis. Ce poste soutient l'engagement de Jacquet Montréal envers la qualité, la valeur et le service grâce à une production précise et efficace ainsi qu'à un solide esprit d'équipe.

Notre installation possède les capacités d’opération de machines suivantes :

● Laser
● Plasma CNC

VOS responsabilités en tant qu’opérateur de machine?

● Capacité à interpréter les spécifications de travail, lire des plans et préparer les commandes avec précision
● Maîtrise du réglage, de la calibration et de l’opération d’équipements de coupe du métal (laser et plasma) avec de bonnes aptitudes en dépannage
● Compétences en manutention de matériaux et en utilisation d’équipements (chariot élévateur, pont roulant, Raymond Reach/Combi), incluant des pratiques sécuritaires de chargement et de déchargement
● Capacité à évaluer la qualité de coupe, retirer les squelettes de découpe et préparer les composantes finies
● Expérience en contrôle des stocks, incluant la gestion des profils d’inventaire, l’optimisation du flux de matériaux et la réduction des stocks désuets ou excédentaires
● Forte conscience en matière de santé et sécurité, avec la capacité de soutenir des équipes interfonctionnelles et d’assumer diverses tâches au besoin

- Poste de jour : 6 h 30 à 14 h 30 (lundi au vendredi)

Ce que VOUS apportez à l’équipe:

● Minimum de 1 an d’expérience dans l’utilisation d’un chariot élévateur et/ou d’un pont roulant pour la manutention de matériaux lourds.
● Bilingue (français et anglais)
● Aptitudes mécaniques de base avec expérience en entretien routinier des machines et en dépannage
● Excellentes habiletés de communication et attitude axée sur le service à la clientèle et le travail d’équipe dans un environnement dynamique
● Capacité démontrée à travailler efficacement avec un grand souci du détail, de la qualité et de la sécurité
● À l’aise avec le travail physique, incluant le levage fréquent (50 lb et plus), les flexions et de longues périodes debout ou en déplacement
● Personne flexible, apprenant rapidement, capable de faire plusieurs tâches à la fois, d’aider les membres de l’équipe et de faire des heures supplémentaires au besoin

Rémunération : 28,00 $/heure et plus
