The Opportunity

We are seeking servers who understand that great service is about awareness, timing, and knowledge.

As Mallard Cottage enters its next chapter, we are building a front of house team defined by professionalism, precision, and a confident approach to hospitality.

This is a role for individuals who take pride in their craft, who understand the rhythm of a dining room, and who value being part of a strong, cohesive team.

The Role

As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and thoughtful guest experience from arrival to departure.

You will:

Guide guests through the menu with confidence and clarity
Demonstrate strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage offerings
Execute service with attention to timing, detail, and flow
Work closely with the front and back of house teams to ensure consistency
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional section
Anticipate guest needs and respond with ease and professionalism

Service Philosophy

A strong understanding of food and wine is essential. Wine knowledge (WSET or equivalent) is considered an asset.
