Heavy Equipment Operator

We're looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators who enjoy working outdoors, operating top-notch equipment, and being part of a team that values safety, quality, and teamwork.

What You'll Be Doing

Your Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and rock trucks.
Work closely with Foremen, Superintendents, dispatchers, and crew members to keep projects moving efficiently.
Perform excavation, grading, loading, backfilling, tamping, and material handling tasks.
Complete daily equipment inspections and pre-operational checks.
Monitor fluid levels, lubricate equipment, and perform minor adjustments as needed.
Report equipment deficiencies and maintenance requirements to the shop team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and PEI Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Identify potential safety concerns and help create solutions that keep everyone safe.
Support the team and project success wherever needed.

What You Bring
We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
Enjoys working outdoors in changing weather and site conditions.
Takes pride in operating equipment safely and professionally.
Is dependable, hardworking, and a strong team player.
Can comfortably assist with labour tasks when required (raking, shoveling, site cleanup, etc.).
Holds a valid driver's license and has reliable transportation.
Class 1 or Class 3 license is considered an asset, but not required.
Is willing to work overtime during our busy construction season.
