Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Worker / Cashier to join our team and help provide an excellent experience for our customers during our fall season. This position is primarily customer service and cashier-based, while also assisting with the daily operations of our greenhouse.

Our Fall 2026 season lasts approximately one month (mid August - end of September), making it the perfect opportunity to see if working at our greenhouse is the right fit for you. Employees who enjoy the work and are a good fit for our team will have the opportunity to return for our Spring 2027 season, with the potential for long-term seasonal employment and future management opportunities.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and be willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse environment
Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
Operate the cash register and process customer purchases accurately.
Assist customers with selecting plants and answering basic questions.
Water and care for plants to ensure they remain healthy and presentable for sale.
Restock displays and maintain an organized, attractive sales area.
Help load customer purchases when needed.
Perform routine cleaning and general maintenance throughout the greenhouse.
Use basic math skills for cash handling and inventory-related tasks as needed.

Experience

Prior experience in customer service, retail, gardening, or greenhouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Cash handling experience is an asset.
Knowledge of plants or gardening is an asset but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a physically active environment.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
