Position Summary:
The Marketing Event Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing company events and marketing activities that strengthen brand presence, enhance customer engagement, and support business objectives. This role will oversee end-to-end event execution for corporate, retail, promotional, and community-based initiatives while ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams and external service providers.
The successful candidate will work closely with retail operations, marketing, stores, HR, leadership, and external vendors to ensure events are professionally executed, on-brand, and operationally successful. This role requires strong project management, organization, communication, and execution skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute company events including grand openings, seasonal promotional events, customer engagement activities, community initiatives, recruitment events, conferences, annual gatherings, internal corporate events, and retail marketing activations.
- Manage the complete event lifecycle including concept planning, scheduling, budgeting support, logistics, setup, execution, and post-event review.
- Ensure all events align with company branding, business priorities, and customer experience objectives.
- oordinate in-store and retail marketing activities designed to drive customer engagement, store traffic, and brand awareness.
- Work closely with store operations and marketing teams to ensure promotional activities are executed effectively and consistently across locations.
- Coordinate event materials, signage, promotional assets, staffing requirements, and execution timelines.
- Act as the key coordinator between marketing, store operations, leadership teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth event execution.
- Communicate event plans, timelines, and execution requirements clearly to participating teams and locations.
- Address operational challenges proactively and adjust execution plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate event logistics including venue preparation, setup requirements, timelines, vendor scheduling, equipment, signage, permits (where applicable), and operational readiness.
- Ensure events are executed professionally, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards and brand expectations.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.
- Track event performance through attendance, participation, customer engagement, campaign impact, and business outcomes where applicable.
- Prepare post-event summaries, lessons learned, and recommendations to improve future initiatives.
- Support reporting and budget tracking related to marketing events and activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in event coordination, marketing events, retail marketing, project management, or related functions.
- Experience in retail, consumer electronics, or multi-location business environments is an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
