Hourly Wage: $17.63 plus gratuities
Banquet Porter Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up rooms, maintaining storage and service areas
- Ensure clean banquet rooms by vacuuming and performing other cleaning duties
- Assist with decorating including hanging banners
- Assist with the service of concession stands and meal functions, and providing coffee service
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need as a Banquet Porter:
- Demonstrated perpetual cheerfulness and extroversion, modifying personal delivery as appropriate to different types of guests’ needs, interests, and desires (Adults, children, couples, cultural, etc.)
- Outstanding attention to detail – both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.
- Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team setting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Porter experience preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lift up to 50 lbs).
- Secondary School Graduate Diploma preferred; minimum Grade 10 or the equivalent.
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
