Job Overview
Carousel Tattoo & Barbershop is looking for an experienced full-time barber to join our team.

Established in 2017, Carousel is a well-established, highly respected shop known for its professional yet casual atmosphere, loyal clientele, and strong community reputation. We’re proud to offer an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly environment where both staff and clients feel welcome and comfortable.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients look and feel their best, with a strong focus on communication and sanitation standards. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in hair styling, retail sales, and client relations while working in a supportive and engaging setting.

Duties

Greet clients warmly and assist them with their needs at the front desk
Provide professional hair styling services, ensuring client satisfaction
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the workspace
Upsell products and services to enhance client experience and increase sales
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations
Manage retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Schedule appointments and manage the daily flow of clients to ensure smooth operations
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of barbering experience
Strong cutting, fading, and grooming skills
Professional attitude and good client communication
Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented
Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or front desk roles is preferred
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
Ability to upsell products and promote services effectively
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for helping others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service standards
