REQUIREMENTS:

1+ year hands-on experience working with both saltwater and freshwater aquarium systems (public aquarium, zoo, aquaculture facility, or similar).
Strong experience in water quality testing and analysis, including pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, salinity, and temperature.
Experience maintaining aquarium life-support systems, including filtration, pumps, heaters, chillers, and lighting.
Valid Open Water SCUBA certification (PADI or equivalent).
Experience performing underwater work, including cleaning and maintaining deep aquarium tanks safely and effectively.
Ability to identify signs of fish stress or illness, troubleshoot issues, and follow basic treatment or escalation protocols.
Experience with fish and marine invertebrates feeding feeding, food handling, preparation, and nutrition.
Knowledge of marine and freshwater fish and invertebrates.
Strong problem-solving, observation, and record-keeping skills.
Relevant degree is an asset but not required.

Working Conditions:

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
Comfortable working in wet, physical environments, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in aquarium support areas.
Must be able to safely perform underwater tasks following established safety protocols.
