Job Summary

The Pre-Press technician will work in the rebuild of electronic and/or printed graphics. This individual must have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and modify artwork
Troubleshoot, edit artwork files, colour match, pre-flight, prepare & check artwork files
Working closely with production, sales team, and customers, incorporate changes recommended by customers into final design (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop)
Responsible for archiving and updating graphic files for future access
Process all printing requests accurately and effectively with tight deadlines

Skills Required

Must have experience in vector based software Adobe Illustrator (MAC). Illustrator is the primary program used
File Prep, Composition, RIP/Trap, Plating, Troubleshoot prepress
Excellent initiative, ability to learn quickly and work independently
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to set priorities
Strong desire to work as a team and work towards the overall goals of the department and company
Understanding of print production processes, ability to prepare files for press and digital printing. Pre-press knowledge is essential
Ability to work with CMYK and Pantone Colours

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
