About Us

Since 2006, the partnership between Nipissing First Nation and The Miller Group has thrived on mutual respect and a dedication to creating enduring positive impacts for the community through sustainable infrastructure development.

This business relationship was initially built around the Nipissing Quarry under a unique ground lease that secured Nipissing First Nation land ownership while providing Miller a local base for quarry operations. To this day, the quarry is operated by Miller from a commercial building on Nipissing First Nation under a long-term lease and royalty agreement. The success of this collaboration laid the foundation for the partnership to grow.

Responsibilities:

Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
Receive and direct visitors and clients
General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
Operating scales and scale software
Completing daily scale house and inventory reports
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to work night shifts
Reliable transportation to and from the job site
Ability to work independently during overnight operations
Working near/on construction sites
Daily exposure to construction environment (ex. working outdoors, noisy, fumes, dusty environment)
Experience in an office setting
Proficient in Microsoft office
Strong organization Skills
Ability to sit, stand or drive more than 90 minutes per day
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be punctual and reliable
Must be a team player

Day in the Life

The Scale Clerk ensures the integrity of materials tracking and ticketing - a foundational part of accurate billing, inventory, and daily site operations. This role supports project efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance across construction and aggregate operations.

We are seeking a Scale Clerk - Night Shift, to support our operations. This position works overnight hours (7pm-7am) and is responsible for scale operations, customer service, data entry, and administrative support.

Compensation Data

$23-$24/hr
