Full job description

Ruelo Patisserie is a one-of-a-kind French pastry shop that creates a wide selections of desserts using premium ingredients and unique flavour combinations, all made with authentic French pastry making techniques. As we stay true to the French way, we have our sights set to deliver our customers an experience of perfection and romance, transporting them to a world of pure delight and indulgence.

We are currently seeking a bakery assistant to join our team. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to establish our company's brand and reputation.

Responsibilities:

Bake breads, pastries and tarts
Glaze and decorate cakes, tarts and entrements

Prepare fillings, creams and dough
Temper chocolate and create chocolate decorations
Keep track of inventory and reorder accordingly
Maintain cleanliness of the pastry kitchen

Qualifications:

Previous experience in pastry kitchen
Diploma or certificate from accredited culinary institution an asset
Knowledge of chocolate tempering
Ability to stand for extended period of time
Ability to work early morning shifts
Ability to work weekdays and weekends
Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask
Passion for pastry and desire to be world class
