Duties:

Support and assist with educational activities that promote children’s learning and development.
Supervise children during play and daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
Encourage positive social interactions and support children’s emotional development.
Assist with classroom organization, meals, rest time, and transitions.
Communicate respectfully with staff and families when required.
Follow all centre policies and maintain health, safety, and licensing standards.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and program policy

Skills:

Time management: Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines-
Childcare: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education-
Leadership: Ability to guide and motivate children in a classroom setting- Organizational: Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-run classroom environment-
Special education: Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations for diverse learners-
Experience with children: Previous experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting-
Bilingual: Proficiency in multiple languages, especially French, is a plus-
Classroom communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
ECA certificate (preferred)
ECA (at least 2 Years experience working with children 0 to 6 years)
