We are seeking exceptional Mat Pilates instructors across the Greater Toronto Area. You must possess a high-energy presence and flawless technical movement standards, capable of creating an exercise space that is challenging, scientifically professional, and genuinely irresistible for members to return to.

【Core Responsibilities - Session Execution】

In this role, you will lead dynamic group mat classes. The class structure must be meticulously planned and layered with progressive sequencing, ensuring every single exercise perfectly builds up to the upcoming challenges. Without breaking the high-octane energy of the room, you are expected to deliver precise, well-timed cueing that corrects alignment and activates core awareness; meanwhile, you will help members understand the underlying scientific intention of each movement so that the training results continue to resonate long after the session ends.

Facing members of varying fitness levels, you must effortlessly provide scalable regressions or hardcore progressions to ensure every single individual is fully engaged and immersed. You are not merely an instructor, but a living ambassador for J17's brand DNA: "high-intensity, fearless, and relentless pursuit of excellence." With your pure on-site charisma, you will craft every class into an industry benchmark that seamlessly blends the thrill of a hard-core workout with the premium quality of scientific movement.

【Primary Responsibilities】

Deliver Elite Performance Experiences: Cultivate confidence, movement competence, and enjoyment through challenging, community-driven group classes.

Craft Premium Programming: Develop structured class workouts, high-energy playlists, and signature elements that elevate your unique coaching style within the J17 brand framework and standards of excellence.

Inspire & Connect: Motivate and empower clients and fellow team members, building authentic relationships both inside and outside of class to foster a high-retention community.

Arrive Prepared: Arrive 15–20 minutes before each class, fully prepared to execute flawless operations and deliver an exceptional member experience.

Live J17 Values: Lead by example, remain relentless in overcoming obstacles, and demonstrate through action that we are far stronger together.

Drive Brand Initiatives: Actively participate in promotional events, digital media content creation, photo/video shoots, and core marketing campaigns.

Champion the Brand: Represent J17 Fitness with pride, acting as a professional brand ambassador both inside and outside the studio.

【Qualifications and Requirements】

Required:

A recognized and accredited Mat Pilates certification.

Proven experience leading dynamic group mat classes within a premium boutique fitness environment.

A deep understanding of functional anatomy and biomechanics, with the ability to seamlessly deliver scalable modifications (regressions) and advanced progressions on the mat.

Sharp room awareness and floor control: the natural ability to read the energy of the class and adapt pacing on the fly without breaking momentum.

A natural community builder who connects effortlessly with clients, ensuring every member feels seen, valued, and included.

A growth mindset: open to ongoing professional coaching, constructive feedback, and continuous skill refinement.

A current, valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Nice to Have:

Additional coaching experience in complementary modalities (e.g., Yoga, Strength & Conditioning) or an academic background in Kinesiology/Exercise Science.

An established local following or a demonstrated track record of retaining clients and driving referral growth.
