Job Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist/Assistant, where your energy and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the smooth operation of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with clinical duties to ensure exceptional patient care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience and efficient office workflow.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with enthusiasm, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as ABELDENT
Verify patient insurance information and process payments efficiently at the front desk
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing excellent customer service
Maintain organized electronic medical records and ensure all patient documentation is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations
Assist dental staff with chairside support during procedures, including passing instruments and preparing materials as needed
Manage correspondence, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications to enhance patient engagement

Requirements

Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting with strong administrative skills
Familiarity with dental practice management software ABELDENT experience with Medical Terminology is a plus
Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and office procedures
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Previous experience working with front desk operations in a dental or medical office is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
