Duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Housing Administration (Lead Responsibility)
As the lead administrative support for 21 staff houses in various communities across the NWT, you will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff housing and coordinate communication between tenants, the Housing Committee, the Field Unit Superintendent, Finance, HR, and the Asset team;
- Track housing unit availability and coordinate staff move‑ins, move‑outs, and utility transfers;
- Chair and support Housing Committee meetings, preparing agendas, meeting records, and follow‑up actions;
- Coordinate inspections, maintenance requests, work orders, and repairs with asset maintainers and contractors;
- Manage small contracts related to housing maintenance, cleaning, and repair services; and
- Lead improvements to housing policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
2. Asset Data Management (Maximo) – Lead Responsibility
As the lead for asset data quality and Maximo maintenance, you will:
- Maintain and update asset information in Maximo for staff housing, operational assets, and new construction;
- Manage code compliance inspections, including scheduling, data entry, and monitoring program effectiveness;
- Support data quality checks, reporting, and the identification of inconsistencies or gaps; and
- Assist with the creation of new asset inventories, including those associated with capital projects supporting new park establishment.
3. Asset & Project Management Administrative Support
As a core member of the Asset Team, you will support Asset Managers, Project Managers, and Asset Maintainers who lead the Asset Program, the Capital Projects Program, and capital projects supporting new park establishment.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and maintaining project files, documentation, and schedules;
- Supporting coordination with finance team; and
- Supporting contracting and procurement processes.

Join Parks Canada’s northern Asset Team as an Asset Administrator (AS‑02), where you’ll help support the infrastructure that keeps eight protected places across the Northwest Territories operating—from remote Arctic parks to culturally significant northern landscapes. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead staff housing administration and asset data management while providing essential support to Asset Managers and Project Managers delivering diverse capital projects, including projects that contribute to the establishment of new national parks. Whether coordinating housing logistics, managing critical asset information in Maximo, or keeping complex project files moving, you’ll be at the centre of meaningful work that directly supports the stewardship, operation, and growth of some of Canada’s most extraordinary protected places.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in administrative services, including but not limited to: preparing and tracking documents, managing emails, scheduling and organizing meetings, maintaining a filing system, and other related duties; and
- Experience using productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
