Full job description

Nestled on the banks of the Miramichi River in the City of Miramichi’s Historic Water Street Business District, The Rodd Miramichi is not the typical city centre hotel. Our riverside location provides both views of and step-outside access to the river and recreational trails.

Rodd Miramichi River Resort is seeking an Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This is an opportunity to work in a 5-star Hotel with a Restaurant and a strong Banquet business.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with Executive Chef to assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations across restaurant and banquet services and ensuring smooth execution
Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Lead, train, and mentor a diverse culinary team, promoting professional development, accountability, and teamwork
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Support inventory control, ordering, and cost management to meet operational and financial goals
Act as lead of the Kitchen team in the absence of Executive Chef
Collaborate with leadership to implement systems, methods, and processes that drive efficiency and culinary excellence

Job Requirements:

Proven success as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or lead cook in a high-volume restaurant or resort restaurant
Strong passion for culinary excellence and service
Proven ability to develop team
Knowledge of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to great execution
Stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
