Job Description

Halifax's leading, award-winning, restaurant group, The Bertossi Group, is seeking the expertise of a results oriented Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager will lead day-to-day HR operations while providing administrative support for the company.

Responsibilities

As Human Resources Manager, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you'll get to:

New Talent Acquisition; assisting with creating and posting job opportunities, candidate sourcing, interviews, reference checks, employee offers.
Support in scheduling and delivering new hire onboarding training sessions, and collaborate closely with Executive leadership & payroll to ensure new hire onboarding is completed accurately and timely.
Maintaining accurate personnel records filing, managing sensitive and confidential information and being point person for inquiries for HR related information and issues.
Processing Atlantic Immigration Program applications & additional IRCC documentation, and employment letters.
Leading Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHSC) programs, assisting payroll with benefits management, as well as Worker's Compensation Board paperwork.

What we’re looking for:

Undergraduate degree; certificate or diploma in HR Management.
At least 4-5 years experience in progressive Human Resources positions, working with large teams of 500+ employees
Prior experience in the hospitality industry is an asset, but not required.
Effective communication and relationship building skills.
A commitment to confidentiality & employment standards.
