Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and experience in grooming dogs of various breeds and sizes. This is a commissioned role (45%) for groomers with several years experience. We are known for our care and patience and treat every dog like it's a member of the family.

Responsibilities

Groom dogs according to breed standards and customer specifications, including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences and aftercare instructions
Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, including sterilizing tools and equipment after each use
Handle dogs safely and gently during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being
Assist with managing appointment schedules and ensuring timely service delivery
Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting larger or heavier dogs onto grooming tables or into bathing tubs
Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the management or pet owners

Qualifications

Previous experience in dog grooming is required
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
Ability to handle dogs of various sizes safely and compassionately, including heavy lifting when needed
Attention to detail and a passion for animal care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism
Reliable, punctual, and available to work Tuesday to Saturday.
