Assistant Production Supervisor – Drive Excellence at Minuteman Press Oakville

Location: Oakville, ON

Minuteman Press Oakville is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Production Supervisor to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a passion for high-quality graphics and print technology, we want to hear from you. This is an integral role where your operational knowledge and technical skills will directly ensure we deliver exceptional printed products to our clients on time, every time.

You'll report directly to the Production Supervisor and play a crucial part in maintaining both efficiency and our high standards for safety and quality.

What You'll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight: Assist the Production Supervisor in managing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient flow and adherence to strict quality protocols.
Workflow Management: Coordinate and guide production team members to manage priorities effectively, ensuring all jobs are produced and delivered to meet deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet the rigorous quality standards expected by Minuteman Press and our customers.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct and oversee regular inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and machinery to guarantee optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with management to identify and implement continuous process improvements and proactively resolve operational issues.

What You'll Bring: Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership potential combined with specialized technical expertise in modern printing processes:

Digital Press Proficiency: Proven, hands-on experience running and troubleshooting a digital press.
Fiery Expertise: Good working knowledge of Fiery print servers, including job management, color calibration, and workflow optimization.
Graphic Design Software: A solid understanding and working knowledge of the Adobe Graphic Suite (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) as it relates to pre-press checks and file preparation.
Operational Mindset: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex workflows in a collaborative setting.
Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment for the entire team.
