The Role

The Control Panel Assembler builds electrical control panels for heating equipment for customers across North America.

What You Will Do

Primary Duties:

Apply consistency in wiring and assembly method for units of the same type.
Assist with larger freight shipment preparation.
Build cabinets, mechanical assembly, drilling and tapping.
Carry out proper grounding procedures.
Conduct final assembly; install panels and doors, inspect paint surface and alignment of doors and panels.
Determine wiring sequence, layout, and location. Ensure space allowance for arrangement of wiring and components.
Inspect incoming materials.
Mark wiring and components where required.
Monitor products to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
Perform modular / sub-assembly.
Prepare units for shipment; check units per final checklist; ensure units are clean and dust free.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic drawings, and single line drawings.
Repair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.
Review wiring diagrams for accuracy. Resolve problems with appropriate personnel.
Work to CSA, UL codes and company quality requirements.

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet time restraints.
